We are responsible for processing personal data collected through this website as defined in Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data we collect and why
2.1 Contact form
When you use the contact form on our Get in Touch page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this data solely to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps) or, where not applicable, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).
We do not store form submissions in a database. Messages are delivered to our inbox and retained only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry.
2.2 Newsletter subscription
If you subscribe to email updates through our site, we collect your email address. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
2.3 Server logs
Our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data when you visit the site. This includes your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is retained for a maximum of 14 days and used solely for security and technical diagnostics. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation of the website).
2.4 Cookies
We use only technically essential cookies — specifically a cookie that records whether you have interacted with our cookie consent banner. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Your cookie preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage under the key hab3r_cookie. This is processed locally on your device and not transmitted to our servers.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share data with service providers who help us operate the website (hosting infrastructure). These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only process data according to our instructions.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
4. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by Chapter V GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You may request deletion of your data where no legal basis for continued processing exists.
- Restriction (Art. 18 GDPR): You may request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Where processing is based on consent or contract, you may request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

6. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Contact form messages are kept until the inquiry is resolved. Newsletter subscriber addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are deleted after 14 days.
